As a Regional Association, FAZA gains the following benefits:
Multi-facility Inventory Report
- Run inventory reports for one, two, or all of our member facilities to see what animals they currently hold.
- Produce a spreadsheet of ZIMS members’ physical holdings of any taxonomy. This report supports strategic collection planning such as that done by various Taxon Advisory Groups.
- Easily see graphs of Acquisitions and Disposition by year; Populations and Holders by year; and Age Pyramid as well as Population and Data Quality Indicators. This report is for studbook keepers, TAG coordinators/chairs, or anyone with a specific interest in a species.
- Search by species to see which ZIMS members are holding them. The results grids contains links to the global animal record as well as institution information.
- View a single record any animal in the ZIMS database, both current and historical.
- Look at the lineage, descendants and siblings of an individual animal.
- Search for animals or groups institutions have available for transfer to other institutions as well as what species institutions are looking to acquire.
- Increase our members’ efficiency in producing required accreditation reports.
